Telengana partition notified me ....

I am very much aware of the Telangana separation form the Andhra, but i never spent time to think about the plus and minus about the separation. Abhishekh's blog enlightened me about some very good reasons to have this separation done. Really small state can be much prosperous, specially when this smaller population has different life style in many terms. Jharkhand from Bihar and Utarakhand from Uttar Pradesh are very good example of this.

My only concert are the places which will be marked near to boundary, the places which share the culture of the both side of the new boundary. These are the places affected in the partition. I can't say the exact situation when Himachal was made out of Punjab. There are lot of differences in the two cultures, and separation made them all set to develop independently in their own way. But how about the southernmost district of Himachal. District Sirmour where people enjoy the mixed culture of Himachal and Punjab. Although there are huge number of points where this district can also add to the development of Himachal but I feel Sirmour is ignored by the HP government, and it hurts when it gets counted in the last 100 backward districts of India. I remember people get very upset when things planned for district Sirmour don't get fund from government, and it hurts when same planned thing get implemented in some other district.

2 years back when i was at home, there was a common talk that a big steel plant is coming up in district, which will provide huge employment to the people. later in next holidays when i got down at bus stand i saw some people sitting on "dharna" to stop the shifting of that steel plant from Sirmour to Kangra district. At this time i saw the feeling of being neglected in the people of sirmour. go to search engine and search for "fossil park asia". you will get it in sirmour but i feel ashamed that there is no proper road for this park and no proper fund to manage the park, please do take something to eat and drink while visiting, you may not find something to purchase and do see the extraordinary museum there. Renukaji lake, situated amidst lush green forests of Indian Himalayas, the surroundings of the Lake offers an excellent venue to tourists for the adventure sports, but again it is not funded as other tourist places in Himachal.

recently i found that some things are planned to attract tourist in sirmour but who knows that get shifted like Steel plant :)

Jagjit ji live at Bengaluru

Rohit from Delhi has tried to call me while i have missed his call some how, later when i saw my mobile notifying about his miss call, i pinged him, he asked me to check my mail. There was a big promotional poster for Ganesh Utsav and it was nice to know that Jagjit Singh is also coming for a live show.

Now the task is to get tickets, the first thing i did is forwarded the information to all other JS fans here in Bengaluru. I asked one of friend try to get passes from TOI office at MG Road but he was not successful. finally a day before concert i got a call from Prasad that he has got concert passes.

finally the day came and i reached the venue at around 5:30PM. Show was expected to begin at 7. Prasad also joined after some time. It was big gift for me that he had got VVIP tickets , O great and both of us were on the front rows eagerly waiting for Jagjit to come.

around 7:30 he was there after lighting the lamp near to Ganesh's Idol he was all set on to stage. and a great start with "hosh waloon ko khabar kya " ... followed by "aadmi aadmi ko kya dega"..

Jagjit ji was not well with having cough problem .. but he still he was getting all appreciation from the crowd, there were some some 7 to 8 thousand people, Abhinav Upadhyay on tabla and Deepak Pandit on violin present excellent jugalbadi which made audience stunned...

There some more good numbers like "kagaz ki kashti", "ahista ahista", "koi fariyaad". He made audience to sing along on "tum ko dekha to yeh khayaal aaya" and a lot more ...

Great thanks for Prasad and his friend, who has arranged VVIP pass...

Bangalore Marathon

Back after a long time to share my experience. i participated in Bangalore Marathon last Sunday, unfortunately i couldn't got chance to run for 10K open run but i was there for 6.5 Majja run. Before the actual start of run all were gathered in some or other groups. i was running for Parikrma. I can't forget some the groups running for ashirwaad and ignite india as they were making good noise with all slogans. One can really get impressed by seeing there dedication towards developing India ... Finally all the race flagged off and all were on the track to finish every thing was fine, i was feeling proud to be part of so concerned crowd after listening to their views. People had so much ideas to fight against Piracy , pollution, politics and other so many things ...

everyhting went fine but it was terrible when all came to road, Kingfisher has put up their stalls providing water bottle for the runners and allmost everybody was drinking water as soon as i covered 1.5K road was full of empty water bottles where was the common sense of the public, their were bins installed across the track but some 5% participants only used them.. where was the civic sense of the people ...

I just convered the track enjoying the run with a thought that i have contributed some thing to society helping children..

will be back after with next blog soon ...

All over the lunch table

Just sharing the incident happened over lunch table at cafeteria today. Prateek was talking about something interesting as usual and we were enjoying the talk, these days election campaign is on the heights so TV Screens with news channel was showing people of Gandhi family of Indian National Congress. Prateek remembered that he used to tease one of his Sikh friend by saying that Gandhi family has some issue with Sikhs, he quoted the riots in Punjab was a result of decision taken by Indira Gandhi. And later on he continued saying that he used to say to sardar that because of this people from Gandhi family have lost their life. He added more by saying that Sonia to be on safe side has given a chance to Sikh by appointment of Prime Minister from India.
He was simply saying the points he might have put in front of his sardar friend just to make him respond back a good laughing session was going on, all of sudden we got attracted by the TV Screen where news channel was showing a journalist throwing show on Home Minister P. Chidambaram. It moved our discussion from the issue and we actually started discussing why journalist can hit on the target, Bush remained unbeaten by them and so is the home minister. We were discussing to develop software for journalists so that they can simulate the hit before actually trying it. After having more such funny discussion all were quietly having nice lunch. Suddenly Prateek started laughing again and in his laugh he passed the message that journalist was sardar and was asking some question about the riots only. Now Prateek left his food and started asking us to finish it fast, normally he is the last person to finish his part at lunch, he was eager to go to his desk today … you all can guess why??

Sometime back his sardar was online and he wanted to tease him again with the issue :)

Trip to Kanyakumari

I was back in campus for mid-term evaluation of my project, evaluation was scheduled on Friday, so i reached calicut a day advance on Thursday morning, full day spent with friends talking about here and there, finally at night prepared project report and the presentation for tomorrow's evaluation. by noon presentation got over and we were decided to go to Kanyakumari, we have tried to get car from Raju bhaiya but as he was little busy with some work we couldn't got from him. finally we got a Wagon-R from the Abdul Cheta, many times we rented bikes from him for small journeys but this time we have planned to go almost 500 Km bike will not be a good option.
We all got into car and started our journey at 4PM. This was first time i was driving a Wagon-R. and car was good with good pickup and electronic steering. at night 2AM we reached Trivandrum which was our decided first halt. Our two seniors Mr.Shashi and Mr.Bhagat with one of our super senior Mr Arun welcomed us their.

We stayed at their flat for the night, as per our daily schedule we got up from beds late and continued our journey to Kanyakumari after visiting State Bank Recruitment Cell for some work. We took a break at Kovalum beach, it was nice beach full of foreigners taking sunbath and enjoying the sea waves.

On the way we got attracted with Nagarcoil waterfall sign-boards, although it was 15km out of the way, we decided to visit that also, some how we found the waterfalls and all our expectations went wrong when we saw the waterfall, it was very small one. any way we clicked some pics there and continued journey towards endpoint of peninsular India.

Ooo i missed out the introduction of the crew this time guddu and salam were with our alltime NIT gang APJ (Amit, Pavan and Jayant). Five of us reached Kanyakumari at about 6PM. It was nice to be there we spent time sitting near to the sea-shore. As the boat service to the Vivekananda rock was closed by the time so we didn't went to the meditation rock. Done with some purchasing we we got into the car for return journey it was 9PM so we thought to have dinner here itself and got into a restaurant. after a nice dinner started our return journey and we were back at Trivandrum at 11:30 PM.

Something extraordinary we got up early in the morning to visit famous Padmanabhswamy Temple after temple i met one of my BCA batch mate Raees. and then we were on our return journey, we stopped at Alphozha backwaters which was again a new place for all of us. By 6 PM we were back in Campus and fully tired with the journey. At night again i have to travel to Bangalore to be present in the office Monday morning. Nice experience.

As it was too hot during day journey everyone was trying to do something to get rid of the boredom sitting quite in the car. We captured a video also while returning on the Kochi Highway

Sprite Dal

Don't think too much about the title.. read about what happened exactly

Last weekend all my NIT friends came to Bangalore for masti and a break. i had shifted to new room last weekend so they all came to my room. As weekend was the only time with them they all were returning back on Sunday night. My roommate, who was with his friend Manish last night was coming back to room, but i went to inter-state Bus stand to give send off to my friends. i called Viney before going to Majestic and said him that today we'll prepare our food at room itself, also Viney's friend Manish was also coming to our room for tonight and being very good cook he always like to prepare food.finally i left with my friends to kick them out from Bangalore..

It was around 10PM and i was on the way back to room, i got a call from Viney that we have not purchased salt, as it was newly setup kitchen we only had things which were good enough to prepare tea/coffee. it was first day we were going to cook so we found that salt was not purchased. I reached home with a salt packet and i went out to call SHRUTI. They prepared rice and dal + bhindhi.

After i finished call, i entered room and got into their talk, they were discussing how come dal is sweet, Manish was not getting how come dal got sweetness, i thought let it be after tasting so much variety of food i don't have problem in trying out this dal. i went to kitchen and saw the small little bottle in which i have kept some sprite left out last night, when i offered that sprite to these people they asked me back is that SPRITE(a colorless cold drink brand), finally they started laughing , they have used SPRITE for preparation of dal.. now finally they got how dal has not got its original flavor, now Manish was also relaxed as he found that he hasn't done any mistake, his cooking is still good. We had that sweet dal as gujrati dish with rice and bhindi prepared along...

Hey what are you planing now something like Pepsi chhole, frooti rajma or colin rice like Rinku suggested to me

Back to School !!

Hey don't be carried away by the topic .. you might get a view that this guy got chance to visit Nahan in Himachal and again he visited his Army school where all 14 years of first education was spent .. no yaar this time i visited school with all crazy employees of Yahoo! Bangalore ..

Yahoo! organized their annual year end party on 27 Feb'09. Being workin with Yahoo! i was invited there and it was gr8 to spent time with Yahoo!'s present at party ....

One fine afternoon i just return from lunch and login to machine at my cubical, all of sudden one guy from HR team came to my station and presented a SLATE and a BATTI.. yeah! this was the invitation for the Yahoo!'s year end party .. as party was named Back to School and dress code was school uniform. I found it cool to be part of such event, same time i found a mail in my inbox inviting to the party with a description of the events to be held there, My manager Narendra has already told me about the party events and as he was aware of my singing talent through my browser he advised me to perform there .. i replied back to juhie asking if i can present a solo song there, but i got reply stating that this time only group performance are taken up as party events are reduced . OOOO bad now i was in a mood if i would have got a chance then i would have made some more people to know me :P...

Finally i got back to work .. one another day i got mail from Teenu asking me to get Karaoke track of the song to be perform... he he he i was happy to get a chance i went to met teenu and told her that i have some songs you can select one you want me perform some more senior Yahoo!s were present there and some other Teams .. i said her that i am not getting karaoke for any of these tracks and that was a problem, it wont be good singing without any music on that big stage. anyway i started the Punjabi dhun which i performed almost every time during my MCA @ NITC i got into to stage. and they all liked it. Now Here come the first friend i got with this event ... sardarji standing just near to TT Table with a thought to start game after song ends up, came forward and after giving a praise for punjabi geet said to Teenu that i am going to my home to get tabla ... yes it would be nice to have Tabla with the song ...

Finally MP i mean Manpreet Singh the sardarji was back with a bag and we got into Yahoo!'s breakout area for pratice yes after matching the taal we decided to perform together .. MP was also performing at Party he was part of three events including my song .. first was the dance and other was a homour skit MAD-ADD in their words .. really their performance was awesome ..MAD-ADD got very popular with Latika. I will update the blog with videos as soon as i will get. it was nice party with all the fun, kid games where all seniors Yahoo! officials were playing like small children .. after on stage events there was crazy award distribution function which was amazing thing then was good dinner with chilled Beer along with ..

Finally all at the dance floor with Dj playing quiet good dance numbers....

Nice Party with gr8 Yahoo!
